Which fees are paid when filing?
On filing, the filing fee and power-of-attorney copy fee are paid. In valued actions, the decision fee is 6.831% of the claim value; one quarter is paid in advance and the rest at judgment.
An advance for service, expert and witness costs is also paid; its amount depends on the court's tariff and the case.

What if the fee is not paid?
Proceedings do not continue until the fee is paid; the court grants time, failing which the action may be deemed not filed.
Can one be exempt from fees?
Those without sufficient means may request legal aid; special rules apply to some claims.
