Gross to net salary

Monthly SSI, unemployment, income and stamp tax deductions from your gross salary, including the minimum wage exemption.

What is deducted from salary?

14% SSI and 1% unemployment insurance are deducted from gross pay. The remainder is the income tax base; as tax is calculated on cumulative annual income with progressive brackets, net pay may fall later in the year. The minimum-wage portion is exempt from income and stamp tax.

FAQ

Why does my net pay fall towards year end?

Income tax is progressive on cumulative annual income; when it enters a higher bracket, more tax is withheld.
